Hi Vodacom guys,
I am at the end of rope here with your call centre reps. Hoping you can steer me in the right direction.
I am in Muldersdrift in the West Rand.
Signal is a non issue as I am a stones throw from the N14 and you have quite a few towers dotting the route. My main problem however is instability in connection. This is for all the devices in the home and not just the one I am using. I have decided not to upgrade from using my Samsung S4, S5 and S6 to dongles / routers due to the instability issues.
* I can remain connected for a maximum of 20 seconds on a bad day and all day long on a good one.
* When I manage to stay connected I get about 5 megs down which is really great!:D
* Today I can connect for about 5 minutes but have a ping of about 5000ms to local addresses.
As I have said to the numerous technicians who have called me back on as many occasions, I don't need my connection fast, I don't need it cheap but I do need it stable...
The Last techie** I spoke with told me that they have had numerous complaints about the area and something will be done about it before financial year end (Today). This was told to me last year in September 2015.
Can someone look into this? Is there a technical dept. contact number you can forward?
Thanks in advance.
