Vodacom Galaxy trade ins for s5

Hi all

I decided to go to a vodacom store today to find out how exactly this trade in thing works.

You will first be put on a waiting list (pre order) for the s5 and the colour of your choice. What the vodacom guy did say is if you are for example number 5 on the waiting list there is a chance that you will not get your phone on release date because the store does not know how much stock they will get, so they could get 2 phones a week for instance, i know its stupid. but it depends on the supply and demand at your store also.

So if you have an existing contract with vodacom (this is what most people are confused about) all that happens is you trade in your s2, s3 or s4 and the current contract you are on falls away and then the new contract is taken out for the s5 which then is discounted in accordance to the phone you trade in (logic). So pretty much you just get an early upgrade so if you upgrade now you can only renew in 2016 instead of this year or next.
