My Vodacom - Primary Number Change Problem (if old primary was not Vodacom SP)

Hi Can someone from Vodacom please assist if there is someone here?

I have a Vodacom sim through Nashua Mobile (I know I will never make that mistake again!) on a contract package, the cellphone number is A.

I signed up to my amazement longer than a year ago on the Vodacom portal, and saw that I am able to see my contract and package details, as well as remaining bundles, etc. on the site, even though I use Nashua Mobile as my SP. This was a nice change, as I have always been with MTN and I previously had one of my MTN contracts through Nashua Mobile aswell and was not able to see that number anywhere on their website systems because they themselves where not the SP.

So this was a welcome change, this Vodacom sim through Nashua Mobile was my first Vodacom contract and I used this cellphone number to log on to the system. All was well in the land of the 4 musketeers up untill now.


A week ago, I signed up for my first direct Vodacom SP contract, S4 Mini on Smart S, I received it and its number is B. I saw on the website that I am able to link additional numbers to my Vodacom profile (currently using A as primary), and then I would be able to see them. So I linked B and was able to see all the details of B aswell, great.

Then I wanted to change my primary number from A to B, I assume when you are logged on it then automatically opens the summary for B. I also wanted to change the primary number to B because A will be expiring in a few months and it is not with Vodacom SP and I am scared that I will lose access to my B information on the website. Somewhere there was a link that I clicked on to change the primary number/login number.

I did this, I entered B and got an OTP and entered the captcha phrase and did the whole process, but the moment that B was supposed to become the primary number, it gave an error and said "A does not exist in the SSO", or something similair. This is strange, I don't know why it wants to do anything with A, as A must be replaced with B as the primary. But it gives the error and stops me, perhaps there is a problem when changing your primary number for your account if the initial primary number is not a Vodacom SP number (in this case A was a Nashua Mobile number).

Can someone from Vodacom please assist with this to change the primary number for me? As my account is now stuck on that screen, it doesn't matter which browser or pc I log in from, the moment I log into My Vodacom, it redirects to this primary number change page, it keeps on redirecting there and I am not able to do anything else, also the function is not working to change from A to B, so I am stuck.

I know, never again will I use another SP which is not the network themselves.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated though.
