New contract, can't connect

I signed a data contract on Thursday for 3 gigs data and the Vodafone B200 LTE router. I'm in a very good LTE supported area according to the coverage map.

Maybe I'm a bit hasty but the sim does not want to connect to the internet. If I use a prepaid sim then it works perfectly on HSPA+ but the contract sim does not work using any connection type. I did get a message that it's been activated.

I tried the sim both in a phone and in the router and it connects to the Vodacom network but according to the router it does not connect to the internet.

I phoned 155 last night and the sim wasn't provisioned for LTE so they did that and told me even though the sim is acivated I should wait another 24 hours before it's "fully" activated. Is this true? Approximately how long do I have to wait before I can connect? Does one really have to wait 48 hours before using the sim or is there possibly something else wrong? Or am I just hasty and should wait another day.
