Vodacom has been giving me up hill on my contract since march.... I have been battling to just get 4G on my device, after changing contract types to another contract, now i have returned back to the original in hopes i can get 4G back.
I changed back beginning of this month and now i tried to buy a data bundle because mine was nearly finished. which i did as per normal through the app. I get told it was successful but cant give me an invoice. Which i am cool with.... 2 days later still no bundle has been added to my account, so i try again.... same message same wait and no data... so i try one more time hoping its fixed, which it wasnt. Same BS different day.
So i tweet angrily at them and finally someone calls me to help me.
So i explain whats happening and i get told this.
"They are moving to a new billing system, so i cannot buy data bundles. So seeing as i am out of bundle already, i will be billed for any data used, and they will then credit me with what was spent?" so i will have to fork out money out of my own pocket 1st before they will give me the money back. (who knows how long that will take)
All this BS started just because i was not able to get 4G on my device.....
Is there anything i can do apart from turning off my data on my device and only using wireless when its available?
I have officially had enough with Vodacom, they have been pathetic.... i never understood why people had so much crap to talk about vodacom. I have been with them for many years with no hassles, till this year.
I will not be renewing my contract, just need to find out who is better to go to? Im thinking MTN because of the Afrihost data? Pity its still like a year to go
