Hi all
I have an iPhone 6 and while I can make and receive calls and sms with no problems, every time I attempt to go online (mail, Safari, apps, etc) I get an error message:
"Could not activate cellular data network. PDP authentication failure".
After attempting all the "fixes" I could find online with no luck I went to a Vodacom store but they had no idea what to do. I have also spoken to a consultant but all they could do was read from the faq that a sim swap is in progress when this is not the case.
This is what I have been mailed about the issue, when this is not the issue at all:
"PDP authentication Failure: is caused by while the old mobile number is transferred in to a new sim card. It takes around 24-48 hours to establish and transfer all the information in to the new sim card. There fore "B Patience" it is not a problem with the iphone it is a normal situation."
This started a couple of days ago. I have had no problems with this sim or number before then. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem is and how it can be fixed?
