Bad Vodacom Experience

Hi All,

It seems that the new billing system that Vodacom implemented is a total disaster. Some voda shops cant even access the new system and they also need to phone the callcenter.

I migrated from contract to pre-paid on the first of May and stuggled to get any form of data connection from my phone. On Thursday (5days later) I got HSPA (HSPA+ if I am lucky). Surely LTE should be the default by now. I had LTE on 30th April on contract. My apn is correct for LTE. The call center did numerous Network Sync requests and promises of calling back, but the issue remains. Another prepaid card works 100% on my phone without issue.

The answer at the vodashop is that lots of people had issues last week and it should be resolved (magically I guess).

Saw on another thread on mybb that a full recreate of your profile is required on the new system.


Not sure if a Vodacom rep is hovering here that can assist.

Otherwise maybe mybb should go dig a bit at Vodacom to find out what they are hiding.
