Content Services, Whatsmob, Basebone, Mediafolderz

Hi,
In December I made the fatal mistake of opening an SMS and clicked on the link, This immediately subscribed me to some ? service. No problem I thought as I understood that Vodacom would be sending me an SMS asking me to confirm my subscription, the SMS duly arrived, I replies NO to Vodacom.

However being the trusting type I then activated itemised billing on my account and lo and behold on today’s statement as from the 20th Dec there is the daily charge of R6.14 ex Vat.

On Vodacom’s 110 help line today the person who assisted me ignored my questions about the effectiveness of the confirmation NO SMS and said that they could not do anything about cancelling and reversing the charges and that I must contact WASPA.

I have been to the Whatsmob, Basebone, Mediafolderz sites and they do have an unsubscribe facility, which I have duly submitted, time will tell if they honour the unsubscribe.

My big gripe is Vodacom's failed double confirm system and would like them to credit me account with all the Content Service charges.
